What is a cookie and similar technologies?
Cookies are small files downloaded to your device when you access our Site, designed to recognize your device or store information about your preferences or past actions. They are used to help you navigate efficiently and perform certain functions on our Site.
Other tracking technologies, such as pixel tags or web beacons, may also be used on your device to collect unique identifiers associated with it and other data such as your IP address. Pixel tags or web beacons are small images placed on a webpage or within an email. The web beacon works as a tag that records a user's visit to a particular webpage or the viewing of a specific email.
Certain tracking technologies are specific to mobile applications, such as SDKs (Software Development Kits). SDKs are toolsets that assist our applications in functioning within an iOS or Android environment. SDKs help us understand how you interact with our Site and collect certain information about the device and network you use to access it. They also allow our applications to communicate with third parties via what is known as an API (Application Programming Interface) (for example, when sharing content on Facebook). SDKs can then collect and send data back to the third party that provides them (such as Google, Apple, Facebook, etc.), who can use them to establish your profile as an application user, which can be used for targeted advertising.
These tracking technologies use data in the same manner as cookies and are therefore covered by this policy.
For simplicity, in this policy and on our Site, the term "Cookies" refers to cookies and other similar technologies described above.
What cookies do we use?
The types of Cookies we use may include the following:
- Session Cookies: These Cookies allow our Site to track your actions during a browsing session and are automatically deleted when you close your session;
- Persistent Cookies: These Cookies remain stored on your device until a defined expiration date, which can range from a few minutes to several days. They can be used for various purposes, including remembering your preferences and choices when you use our Site or for targeted advertising;
- First-party Cookies: These Cookies are installed by the Site to enhance your experience and are set up by the Site owner (us);
- Third-party Cookies: These Cookies are set up by a third party, an independent service provider relative to us, such as an analytics or advertising company, or a social network.
Only strictly necessary Cookies are placed within our Site.
Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly Necessary Cookies are Cookies that must be present on the Site to provide basic functions of the Site. Without these Cookies, the Site and its various features would not function.
They are usually created solely in response to actions you carry out that correspond to a request for services, such as configuring your privacy settings, opening a session, or filling out forms (e.g., to register for an event or provide your feedback). They also allow your session to remain open when you identify yourself on our Site.
Your consent is not required for the placement of these Cookies in accordance with applicable regulations, but we will provide the information on their use.
More information on the different Strictly Necessary Cookies used is available in the Cookie Settings on our Site and within sections 3 and 4 of this Policy.
How long do we keep these cookies?
Session Cookies are automatically deleted from your device at the end of your session.
Persistent Cookies are stored on your device for a maximum duration of 13 months, unless you manually delete the Cookies within your browser settings.
Further information regarding the duration of each Cookie is available within the Cookie Settings on our Site.
How can you manage cookies on our site?
When you first access our Site, a banner designed to inform you about the placement of Cookies is presented.
If you choose to refuse the placement of Cookies, a refusal Cookie will be installed on your browser/device to record your choice. Every six (6) months, we will ask you to confirm your choice regarding the placement of Cookies by presenting the banner again.
If you delete this refusal Cookie from your browser/device (within your browser settings or using a private browsing window, for example), it will no longer be possible to identify your choice of refusal. Consequently, this choice will be requested again on your next visit to our Site.
Strictly Necessary Cookies do not require your consent.
However, please note that if you disable or refuse Cookies, you may not fully enjoy certain features of our Site.
